Northwest Renal NetworkConsumer NewsFor Northwest Renal Network Patients, Family & Friends |
Until December 2007, Consumer News was the Network's newsletter for patients, family, and friends.   In December 2007, the format and philosophy was changed, and the name changed to Network Consumer News.   Please see our Network Consumer News page at http://www.nwrenalnetwork.org/P/NCN.htm for issues in the new format.   Historical issues of Consumer News are indexed on this page.
Not all of our past issues are internet-ready, but here are a few that are.   You'll need Adobe Reader to read many of the documents on this page, but you can download a free copy at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html. The October 2007 issue includes articles on the new Patient Advisory Committee, shortened dialysis times, travel, refusing care, eating during dialysis, disaster preparedness, needles, buttonhole cannulation, and vaccinations. The Summer 2005 issue includes a basic introduction to kidney transplants, several personal stories, a copy of our table of Northwest transplant centers, a graph showing the 25-year history of kidney transplants in the Northwest, an introduction to Home Dialysis Central, and a page of links and resources.
